His family is not listed in the 1840 census, indicating that they immigrated shortly thereafter before the birth of Francis.
In 1850 he was listed as a farmer (age 40) with $200 of land from Ireland. Also listed was his wife, Ann (50), and children John (18) a farmer and Sarah (16) all from Ireland. His sons Francis (7) and Daniel (3) were both born in Maine - indicating his immigration between 1834 and 1839 if his brother (below) came at the same time. Listed with him was his brother's family consisting of John and Ann A. (both 30) from Ireland, with John (11) and Sarah (6) born in Maine, plus their father named John Robb (81) born in Ireland. In 1852 he bought 40 Acres for $127 in Baileyville from Joseph Granger (Justice of the Peace) and his wife Harriet. That same year he gained citizenship (no age or residence listed), since he had previously been a citizen with allegiance to Great Britian & Ireland. In 1860 he bought another 50 Acres from Joseph Granger for $250. In 1860 he is a farmer (50) with $700 land and $300 property, with his wife Ann (60) both from Ireland. Also listed with him are Sarah (24, Ire) a tailoress, Francis Jr (17), Mary Roberts (17), and Daniel Robb (13) all born in Maine. The adjacent family was again that of John Robb (2nd) age 46 with $400 land & $150 property listed as a common laborer from Ireland. His family consisted of Anastasia (42, Ire) his wife, Sarah (19) and John the 3rd (14) both born in Maine, and John Robb the 1st (95) born in Ireland. In 1863 his brother sold him 50 Acres originally purchased from Timothy Daly for $800. Later that year, after the death of his son John, he "sold" the 50 Acres to John's children Ellen, Andrew and Mary for $10.
In 1870 he was listed as a farmer with $700 of land and $425 per property at age 65, born in Maine. He has his wife Mary E. (28), cousin's family Hugh (40), Mary (31), Edwin (2), and Daniel (6 mos) with him.
In 1880 he was listed as age 76, married, a farmer born in Ireland, parents from Ireland. With him was his 2nd wife, Mary E. (33) who was born in New Brunswick, parents from Ireland. They had a servant and a pauper (John Martin, 77) living with them and were adjacent to John Robb (3rd) and his mother Anastasia. Listed as being from Scotland on his son's death cert.

The baptism record for her son Francis and for her niece Sarah Dawson lists her name as Anne Nooson. Listed as Anna Neison, of Ireland, on her son Francis' death cert and Nancy Niecen in some of Betty's records as well as the land records.
Listed as Ann in the 1850 and 1860 census.
Her tombstone in the Catholic section of the Calais Cem reads: "In memory of Nancy wife of Francis Robb 1860" The stone was broken beyond repair in 1981 when Betty Carter visited.
