He is listed as a farmer in both 1850 and 1860 census records, and a M. E. Clergyman in 1870; then a farmer again in 1880 and 1900 with his second wife.
After the death of his wife, he was married a second time to Mary J. Black (Feb 1838 - 1908) in 1877; Black was her married name from former marriage.
He was listed as a widower with his widowed daughter Naomi Northrup in 1910, as a Methodist minister.

Rev. Charles Weeks was the son of John J. and Mary Ann "Polly" (Baxter) Weeks. Lucretia P. (Babcock) Weeks was his 1st wife. They were married March 22, 1848 and she died December 12, 1875. Mary Jane (Rogers) Black Weeks was his 2nd wife. They were married in 1877 and she died in 1908. He was a minister in the Methodist Episcopal Church. He entered the ministry in 1860 and served for 16 years.
