The family immigrated to New York on 24 Sept 1913, aboard the Bremen from Bremen, with Rose’s parents, and coming to join her brother Joseph in New York. their name appeas to be Gutnik on the manifest.
Son of Michil Gitnick (15 Mar 1883-25 Mar 1953) and Rose Trauber (1891-1933), and was listed with them and his maternal grandparents in 1920.
He obtained his citizenship thru his father’s natualization on 22 Mar 1924.
Living with his parents in the Bronx in 1930 at the age of 20. He had a younger sister Jean (23 Nov 1922-20 Dec 2015) age 7.
The family is listed in the 1940 Bronx census, after his mother’s death in 1933, with his father having remarried Yetta Cohen in 1936.
He is listed with his father. iiving in San Francisco when he registered for the WWII draft.
After his death, he was buried in New York with his parents.

She stayed with her mother after their divorce, and was listed in census records as Sarah Gordon.

The 1920 census lists her as age 7, born in New York, apparently before their marriage.
