Born on a farm. They lived on a farm for a few years, and were living in Butler when Linda Lou was born. Then moved to Fredericktown in '47 where Cloyd worked for B&O Railroad. He retired after 25 years on disability. Was a member of Waterford Church of Christ, but transferred to the Fredericktown First Baptist in 1960.

Cloyd L. Wells
FREDERICKTOWN - Cloyd L. Wells, 82, of Taylor Street died Sunday at his home after a long illness.
He was born May 28, 1911, in Batemantown to Omar and Outra Rinehar Wells. He was a lifelong resident of the Fredericktown and Butler area.
Mr. Wells was a retired employee of the B&O Railroad. He was a member of Fredericktown First Baptist Church, Maintenance of Ways Employees Association and Fredericktown Senior Citizens.
He is survived by his wife of 60 years, Frances McKown Wells, whom he married Dec. 12, 1933; a daughter, Linda Wells Jones of Mount Vernon; and a grandson, Leo Jones of Mount Vernon.
He was preceded in death by two sisters, Dortha Stevens and Cecile Larimore; and three brothers, Leonard, Carl and Willis Wells.
Calling hours will be Tuesday from 7 to 9 p.m. at Snyder Funeral Home, where funeral services will be held Wednesday at 11 a.m. by the Rev. Bill Mills. Burial will be in Forest Cemetery.

She worked in Ritchey's Market for 13 years doing checkout and "meat hopping" when Cloyd was employed but had to quit to take care of him. He was hurt badly somehow.
Frances said that some research has been done for the family history of Omar's wife and that she is Pennsylvania Dutch. She also said that there was a Wells reunion some time back and that she thinks Lelia's daughter Marjorie might have the book from the reunion. She said that Linda Lou Jones (Cloyd's dau), Patty Mowery and Pam Callahan (Leonard's dau's) started the Wells get-together 6 years ago (1984). It is held the last Sunday in June at the park in Fredericktown, but isn't very big.
She was member of the Fredericktown First Baptist Church. She was survived by Linda Jones of Mt Vernon (dau), Leo Jones (grandson), 3 sisters and a brother. Two other brothers and her husband preceded her in death. Her funeral services were held by Rev. Robert Ernst.
