GALION -- Sarah N. Ruhl, 78, of 273 N. Union Street died Friday, Dec. 17, 2004, at Galion Community Hospital after a short illness. She was born June 30, 1926 in Fayette, Ala. and was preceded in death on Jan. 24, 1983 by her husband, Orrie W. Ruhl whom she married on June 28, 1947.
She was a member of First St. Mark United Methodist Church and enjoyed being a homemaker. She loved knitting and watching sports. Her favorite teams were the Cleveland Browns and Cleveland Indians. She was an avid bowler and at one time bowled every evening of the week.
She is survived by her daughter, Judy Ruhl of Galion and Judy's friend, Dale Reagh of Caledonia; one sister, Beatrice Huber of Crestline; a sister-in-law, Bernice Carmean of Piqua and many nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by one sister, Dorothy Watkins.
Friends may call from 2 to 4 p.m. and 7 to 9 p.m. Monday, Dec. 20, 2004 at Richardson-Davis Funeral Home where services will be held at 10:30 a.m. Tuesday, December 21, with Rev. James Randas officiating. She will be buried next to her husband at Fairview Cemetery.

Orrie W. Ruhl, 273 N. Union St., died at 4:04 a.m. today in Galion Community Hospital. He was 61.
A native of Morrow County, Mr. Ruhl was born Aug. 1, 1921, and was the son of Lloyd and Josie (Wells) Ruhl.
Mr. Ruhl held membership in the First United Methodist Church. A 1940 graduate of Mount Gilead High School, he served in the U.S. Army during World War II. Mr. Ruhl was employed as a furnace operator at Ohio Seamless Tube, Shelby, for 19 years. He also was a member of the American Legion Post 243, Galion.
On June 28, 1947, he married the former Sarah Rainey, who survives.
Also surviving is a daughter, Judith Ruhl of Galion; a sister, Mrs. Paul (Bernice) Carmean of Danville, Ky.: and a brother, Lester Ruhl of Butler.
Services are pending at the Volk-Richardson Funeral Home.
