According to "The New York Genealogical and Biographical Record," Vol. LVI, 1925, page 267: "Harmen Coerten, his [Guert's] brother, also from Voorhuysen [Voorthuizen], . . . sailed on Feb. 12, 1659, for this country in DE TROUW, with his wife, Aertje Gerrits, and five children, 5,6, 8, 9
and 17 years old . . ." The children are then listed in this order:
1. "Gysbertje, the 17 year old child . . .
2. Reyckje . . .
3. Neeltje . . .
4. Guertje, married Hendrick Matthyse Smack.
5. Jan, 'from Gerder in Gelderland,' married June 23, 1684, Neeltje
Janse Buys (Buys Family No. 8), and died before 1699 when his widow
married again."
