In the 1870 U.S. Census, Carrie Robb, 7,born Maine, was living in Baileyville, Maine, with farmer Michael Maloy, 35, born N.B.; Elizabeth Maloy, 31; George W. Malloy, 4; Charles Maloy, 2; Willard Maloy, two months; Helen Robb, 11; and laborer James Maloy, 81, all born in Maine.
In 1880, she is living with the family of her cousin John McVay as "cousin" Caroline Robb, 17, born Maine, parents born Maine, was living in Calais, Maine, with truckman John McVay, 32, born Canada, parents born Ireland; Mary E. Caroline had four live children, but only three were still living.

1924 – James McVay of Calais drove to Alexander to install (Grange) officers. There was a small attendance because of the cold weather. A baked bean supper followed the installation; 50 were present.
