Lois Ann Gaddis
BELLVILLE - Lois Ann Gaddis, 62, of 35 W. Durbin Ave. died Wednesday morning, April 24, 1996, at her home after a brief illness.
She was born Sept. 18, 1933, in Bellville to Russell and Beatrice Cairns Walker and was a lifelong Bellville resident. She had attended Bellville High School and retired after 39 years with General Industries of Bellville. She was a member of the Bellville Church of Christ, the American Legion Auxiliary Irvin Hiskey Post 535, AMVETS Auxiliary William Naylor Post 43, and VFW Auxiliary Robert Castor Post 5101.
She is survived by her husband, Clark J. Gaddis, whom she married Jan. 8, 1983; four stepsons and two stepdaughters-in-law, Harmon C. Gaddis, Delmis L. and Terry Gaddis, Randall L. and Peggy Gaddis, of
Fredericktown, and Donley J. Gaddis of Cardington; one stepdaughter and stepson-in-law, Vivian D. and Charles Hill of Fredericktown; nine stepgrandchildren; nine stepgreat-grandchildren; four brothers and sisters-in-law, Charles "Jack" and Geraldine Walker of Hampton, III., Rodney "Top" and Martha Walker, Ronald
"Butch" and Ellen Walker, and William and Deborah Walker, all of Bellville; five sisters and four brothers-in-law, Norma Jean Wolgang, Mary Alice and Homer Snavely, Dana and James Robinson, Ida Mae and Fred Ocheltree and Maurine and Jimmy Walters, all of Bellville.
She was preceded in death by her first husband, Charles Little.
Calling hours are Friday from 2 to 4 p.m. and 6 to 8 p.m. in the Bellville Snyder Funeral Home, where services will be held Saturday at 10:30 a.m. by the Rev. Richard D. Lupton of the Clear Fork Wesleyan Church. Burial will be in Bellville Cemetery.
Memorial contributions may be made to the Jefferson Township-Bellville Rescue Squad or to the the Knox County Hospice in care of the funeral home.
