Child of Jonathan and Hannah. He was a farmer and carpenter. Lived at Madman's Neck Hempstead, Queens Co, Long Island, NY.
On 1 Jan 1692, David Burdge signed his name as a witness to a deed of Nicholas Simions at Oyster Bay in Queen's Co. Vol. 2, p. 97 of Old Oyster Bay town records (NY Public Library). If David was an adult working as a carpenter in Oyster Bay on 1 Jan 1692, he must have been born in the early 1670's.
David Burdge, a carpenter, came from Hempstead, Long Island with his family to Middletown, Monmouth Co, NJ on 20th May 1715. He bought a 685 acre farm on the Navesink River and Clay Creek. This became known as "Burdge Point" and was until recently in the possession of his descendants. Old Burdge Farm in Middletown near Red Bank, NJ. Had children David, Jonathan and Uriah. Will dated 1720, Buried at Old Burdge Farm in NJ, all graves moved to Atlantic Highlands - near Sandy Hook.
From this point the genealogy is divided into three parts:
