Kathleen was born on a farm, one of eleven children to Edwin M Robb and Catherine S (Robb) Robb. She graduated from Babson Business School, was hired as an executive secretary at the Department of Public Health in Washington DC, and traveled the world with government diplomats prior to marrying and having children. The family later settled in Scituate, where she worked as an office manager for the town. After retiring and moving to Florida with her husband, she volunteered as an emergency worker. She was predeceased by her parents; and husband, Stephen A Splitz. Surviving are two sons, Stephen M Splitz of Worcester, and David E Splitz and his wife, Diane of Durham, CT; three daughters, Brenda Schlesinger of Plymouth, Sharon Rojewski of Plymouth, and Lisa Reith and her husband, Frank of Pembroke; and six grandchildren, Stephen and Danny Schlesinger, Michael and Amy Splitz, Jimmy Rojewski, and Katie Reith.

WAREHAM – Kathleen A. Splitz (Kathy), 96, formerly of Scituate, Massachusetts, went to be with the Lord on Monday, March 29, 2022. She died peacefully at her home at The All American Assisted Living in Wareham. She was predeceased by her parents, Edwin M. Robb and Catherine S. (Robb) Robb, and her husband Stephen A. Splitz.
Kathy, one of 11 children, was born on a farm in Calais, Maine to a loving Irish family. She graduated from Babson Business School, was hired as an executive secretary at the Department of Public Health in Washington DC, and traveled the world with government diplomats prior to marrying and having children.
The family later settled in Scituate where she worked as an office manager for the town for many years.
After retiring and moving to Florida with her husband, Kathy volunteered as an emergency worker. She enjoyed knitting, quilting, reading, was a master at crossword puzzles and bridge, and she published a family cookbook to pass down family favorites to following generations. Her true passion was taking care of her family.
Kathy is survived by her two sons, Stephen M. Splitz of Worcester and David E. Splitz and his wife Diane of Durham, Connecticut, and her three daughters, Brenda Schlesinger of Plymouth, Sharon Rojewski of Plymouth and Lisa Reith and her husband Frank of Pembroke. She also leaves behind six grandchildren, Stephen and Danny Schlesinger, Michael and Amy Splitz, Jimmy Rojewski, and Katie Reith.
A funeral Mass will be held at 10:00 a.m. on Tuesday, April 5, 2022 at St. Margaret’s Church, 141 Main St., Buzzards Bay. A burial service will follow at the Massachusetts National Cemetery in Bourne.
