Misc. Notes
sister of Susan, Daniel Fenton’s first wife.
After her sister’s death in 1848, she married Daniel Fenton. Following his death, she was living in Michigan in 1860, listed as Jane, with her sisters Lucy Hall and Caroline Warner, and caring for his son (Daniel) Waldo Fenton.
Still there in 1870, with Waldo listed as head of household and Mary Fenton (42, OH) plus her sister Lucy Hall (53, OH) as well as an Ann Fenton (12, MI) whose relationship is not clear.
By 1880, she had moved back to Steuben Co, IN and was living with her widowed sister Caroline F. Warner (58, OH) and daughter Florence. Listed as Mary J. Fenton (52, OH).
And then in 1900, she is listed back in Michigan, alone as Mary J. Fenton (Dec 1827, OH), living next to Thomas Hall (46, MI) - possibly her nephew?
But by the time of her death in 1906, she had returned again to Angola, IN and is buried there with her husband.
