Burr Toms
FREDERICKTOWN - C. Burr Toms, 83, died at his home, Fredericktown, RD 1, Wednesday morning of an apparent heart attack.
He was a retired blacksmith of Ankneytown and had spent his entire life in the Fredericktown area. He served with the U.S. Navy in 1907-09 and was a member of Owl Creek Brethren Church of Ankeny Town.
Surviving are his wife, Lillie; three sons, Fred of Ankenytown, Harry of Fredericktown and Ray of Columbus; seven grandchildren; two great-grandchildren; and a brother, Hoy of Fredericktown.
Services will be held at 2:30 p.m. Friday in the Snyder Funeral Home with the Rev. Bruce Rosenberger officiating. Burial will be in the Ankenytown Cemetery. Friends may call this afternoon and evening at the funeral home.
