Sonora resident Elizabeth “Betty” Anne Dorr died March 7 at Almaden Health and Rehabilitation Center in San Jose. She was 82.
Born in San Jose, she was married to Milton Ross Dorr. She enjoyed gardening and knitting.
Mrs. Dorr is survived by her children and their spouses, Janice Lynn and Cliff Opland, of Long Barn, and Martin Lane and Pamela Dorr, of San Jose; grandchildren, Aimee Lynn and husband Shawn Wells, of Jamestown; Darcie Elizabeth Powers, of San Francisco, Elizabeth Danielle Dorr, of San Jose, and Sarah Lynne Powers and husband Jesse Dudan, of Tuolumne; sister and brother-in-law, Ruth and Carl Swanson, of Sonora; sister-in-law, Peggy Dorr, of San Jose; two great-grandchildren; and numerous nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her husband of 53 years, Milton Ross Dorr.

After the death of his mother, he was single when he enlisted in Monterey on 21 Dec 1943, and served in the Army Air Force in WWII.

Milton Dorr Sept 20, 1925 — Nov 23, 2001
Milton Dorr, 76, of Sonora died Friday at his home. Mr Dorr was a native of San Jose. He lived in Sonora 11 years. He was a shipping foreman for Langendorf Baker of San Jose 30 years. He was a member of Teamsters Local 296 San Jose the AARP and Native Sons of the Golden West. He served in the Air Force during World War II.
He is survived by his wife Elizabeth Anne Dorr of Sonora, children Martin Lane of San Jose and Janice Lynne of Long Barn, brother John Dorr of San Jose and four grandchildren.
A funeral will be at 1 pm Monday at Heuton Memorial Chapel. Burial at Mountain Shadow Cemetery. Visitation will be from 9 am to noon Monday at the chapel. Remembrances may be made to the American Lung Association 1231 W Robinhood Drive Suite A Stockton 95207
