WELLS, Lois M. at Cornwall hospital on Sunday, September 10th, 1978. Lois Martha Wells of Ingleside, in her 71st year. Beloved wife of the late Sanford G. Wells. Dear mother of Lyle of Woodstock and Merle of Ingleside. Sister of Mrs. Doris Froats of Ingleside, (Jean) Mrs. Rex Robertson of Ingleside and Mrs. Eva Calderon of Bozeman, Montana. Also survived by six grandchildren.
Resting at the Trinity United Church, Ingleside, where funeral service will be held on Wednesday, September 13th at 11 a.m. Interment St. Lawrence Valley Union Cemetery, Ingleside.
Family will be in attendance from 2 p.m. to 5 p.m. and 7 p.m. to 9 p.m. Funeral arrangements under the direc tion of the Fairbairn Funeral Home Ltd., Morrisburg, Ontario:

Ingleside Businessman Dies At 71
INGLESIDE - Sanford G Wells, one of the most prominent businessmen in the area died yesterday in Cornwall General Hospital as the result of a stroke suffered while at his garage on St. Lawrence Ave. He was in his 7lst year.
Mr. Wells was active up to the last day of his life in the garage business which he built up from small beginnings in Bast Williamsburg and, since - 1922, in Aultsville.
Since 1937 Mr. Wells was a Ford of Canada dealer, and more recently in partnership with his son Merle, built up a successful and widely known business.
In 1957 the establishment was moved to Ingleside as a result of the construction of the St. Lawrence Seaway and Power Project.
Mr. Wells was a son of the late Samuel Wells and his wife the former Sarah Hart. He is survived by his wife, the former Lois M. VanAllen, and two sons Lyle Edgar of Perth, where he is courty engineer for Lanark, and Merle Sanford of Ingleside. He also leaves & brother, Ployd Wells of Montreal and a sister Mrs. Edna Stansfield of St Lambert, Que.
The body will be resting at Trinity United Church tonight from 7 p.m. to 9 p.m., tomorrow afternoon and evening, and the funeral will be Saturday at 2 p.m., in the United Church.
