Lance Corporal Fred F. Wells was born at Froatburn, Ont., in 1895, a son of Frank Wells and the late Mrs. Wells, of Hoasic, Ont. He was educated at Hoasic Public School and for four years attended Lorne Park College, Toronto. He was married to Rhoda E. Brown, daughter of the late Mr. and Mrs. Robert Brown, of Aultsville. He has followed farmirig all his life and also acted as a car salesman for the past 15 years. At the time of his enlistment in June, 1941, he was employed by Ed. Warner, Cornwall.
