Daughter Elizabeth should have been delivered Caesarean, but Enid was 40 miles away and Nina gave birth naturally. The baby must have had a broken bone, or other internal injuries, and died a few days later. She is buried in Rusk Cemetery in the same lot as Simpson Tanner and Jane Douglass Wells.
In 1930 they had been married 10 yrs and were living alone with Virgil (32, KS) farming. The rest of the family consisting of Nina (30, OK) and children Victor R. (7), Dorthea E. (5) and Betty A. (2yr 3mo) all born in Kansas.
They were still living there in 1940 with the same family members, showing the children older and in high school.
