Was married to Andrew J. Bowman (1845, TN) in Mason Co, IL on 22 Apr 1869.
Listed with Andrew as Mary C. Bowman (20, IL) in the 1870 census, with whom she had a dau Ida M. in Apr 1870 and a son Henry in 1876, prior to marrying Richard Wells.
She is in Bloomington for the 1880 census, as Lottie (31, IL) whose parents were born in Scotland and Kentucky with her new husband, Richard Wells (44, IN) and her son Henry Bowman (4, IL)
Listed in 1920 Chicago census as a widow (74, IL) with her son Samuel R. Wells (29, IL) a coal driver. It lists her parents as both from Scotland.

Listed as Richard Land (14, IN) with his mother and step-father, Moses Land in the 1850 census.
Married Martha Daily and moved to eastern Illinois.
In 1860 they are listed in Olney, IL as Rich’d (25, IN), a laborer and E. C. (24, IN). They are listed directly after the family of John H. and J. A. Daily - her parents.
In 1870 he had moved to Bloomington and is listed as Richard (35, IN) a laborer, with second wife, Casandra (29, OH) and a 3 yr old son John. Martha’s parents are also listed in Bloomington for this census.
He is still in Bloomington for the 1880 census, where he is listed as a carpenter (44, IN) with his new wife Lottie (31, IL) whose parents were born in Scotland and Kentucky and her son Henry Bowman (4, IL) - showing that she was remarried as well.
They had a son, Samuel in 1890, although the birth record lists him only as a male Wells.
His death record lists him as calceminer & parper hanger, and buried in “Dunning”.
