FLORENCE GWENDOLYN ROES, 101, Belltower Avenue, Deltona, died Thursday, Aug. 26. Mrs. Roes was a telephone operator for Bell Telephone Co., St. Louis. Born in Canada, she moved to central Florida in 1969. She was Episcopalian. She was a member of the Azalea Circle Golden Club, Kansas City Garden Club, Red Cross WWZ KC, Ikenobo Floral Art Society and Semper Fidelis Study Club, Kansas City.
Survivors: daugher, Marjorie Roes, Deltona; two grandchildren; six great-grandchildren. Stephen R. Baldauff Funeral Home, Deltona.

HERBERT A. ROES
Herbert A. Roes 78 of 121 West Forty-eighth street, founder and president of the H A Roes & Co died yesterday at St Luke’s hospital. Mr Roes retired last year as president of the electrical equipment distributors company he founded in 1929. He was born in St Louis and lived in this area 47 years.
He was a former member of the Kansas City Red Cross board of directors. Mr Roes was a member of the Host Lions and the Westerners club. He was a Mason and a member of the Scottish Rite and the Ararat Shrine. Mr Roes was a charter member of the National Electronic Representatives association. He was a member of St Andrew’s Episcopal church.
Surviving are his wife Mrs Florence G Roes of the home, a son H. Courtney Roes, 2324 West Fifty-first terrace Westwood, a daughter Miss F. Marjorie Roes of the home, two grandchildren and three great-grandchildren. Services will be held at 11 o’clock Saturday morning at the church; burial in St Louis. Friends may call from 6 to 9 o’clock tonight at the Stine & McClure chapel.
