MOUNT VERNON
George G. Wells, 85, died Monday morning at the Country Court Nursing Home, here. He was born June 30, 1898, in Knox County, a son of the late George and Rose Wells.
He spent his lifetime in Knox County and was a retired farmer. He was a member of the Ebenezer United Methodist Church, and a 50-year member of Berlin Grange. He was married to Ruby Wells. She preceded him in death in 1978.
Surviving are two daughters, Naomi Percy of Dresden and Monna Marie Bero of Newark; a sister, Lottie Hardin of Columbus; and two grandchildren and a great-grandson. He was preceded in death by two sisters.
Funeral service is 1 p.m. Wednesdav, at the Flowers-Snyder Funeral Home, here, with Pastor Lonny Aleshire officiating. Burial will follow in Amity Cemetery.
Friends may call one hour prior to the service Wednesday at the funeral home. The family requests contributions be made to the Danville Emergency Squad.
