GIBSON CITY — Sherry I. Donoho, 70, of Gibson City, died at 10:30 a.m. Tuesday, April 18, 2017, peacefully in her home surrounded by her loved ones after a courageous battle.
A memorial service will be at 3 p.m. Friday, April 21, at Lamb Funeral Home in Gibson City with the Rev. Jim Davis officiating. Burial will be in Bellflower Township Cemetery in Bellflower. Visitation will be from 1 to 3 p.m. Friday, April 21, at the funeral home. There will be a celebration of her life following the memorial service at the American Legion Hall in Gibson City.
Mrs. Donoho was born Oct. 13, 1946, in Bellflower, a daughter of W. Pearl and Roberta Jean Harland Wells.
She is survived by the love of her life, Delmer W. Donoho. She and Delmer married in 1964 after their high school graduation. Together they had two children, Brenda (Eric) Timm and Darren (Dianne) Donoho.
She is also survived by a sister, Patricia Tomes; seven grandchildren, Danielle (Grant) Borders, Lindsay (Eric) Hewitt, Ericka (Keith) Lipka, Bryan Timm, Courtney Miller, Drew Donoho and Jillian Donoho; and six great-grandchildren.
Sherry loved to spend time with her family and friends. She was a devoted daughter, wife, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother and friend. Sherry will be missed by many.
