Jon Cole Wells, 54 of Seymour, Indiana, passed away Tuesday, January 8, 2019. He was born May 3, 1964, the son of Eugene Ray and Gloria Mae (Cole) Wells. He is survived by several family and friends.

Jon Cole Wells, age 54 of Seymour, passed away at home on Tuesday, January 8, 2019. Born May 3, 1964 in Cincinnati, Ohio, he was the son of Eugene Ray and Gloria Mae (Cole) Wells.
Jon was taught to do mechanic work by his dad and did that much of his life. He, like his father, was passionate about airplanes. He could look up in the sky and describe the plane flying above in detail. He knew a great deal about old war planes as he loved to watch documentaries on history and science channels. Jon enjoyed listening to country music, especially the oldies. He enjoyed traveling and he would take off hitchhiking just for the fun of it. When asked where Jon was, his mom would say he's on a “walk-about”. Jon also enjoyed going to flea markets and “junk” stores, as he called it, looking for treasures.
Survivors include his wife, Barbara “Pooky” Jaeger; 4 children and 2 step-children; Angela Porter, Daniel Wells, Regina Porter, Timothy Wells, David Jaeger and Ronni Jaeger; 14 grandchildren; siblings, Deborah Young, Vicki Burton, Karen (Chuck) Stanley and Jeanie Hancock. Jon also leaves behind numerous nieces and nephews.
Jon was preceded in death by his parents and siblings, Theresa Hupp, Delaina Roberts, Timothy “Timmy” Wells and Robert “Bobby” Wells.
