GALION - Orrie H. Meckley, 69, of 321 S. Columbus St, Galion, a retired office manger for the Homes Construction Co, Wooster, died in Galion Community Hospital at 1:10 pm Monday. He was admitted to the hospital Sunday.
Born in Troy Twp, Morrow Co, Nov. 7 1888, he was the son of Edward E. and Winnie Miller Meckley. He was married to Grace Appleman, who survives.
Also surviving are one son, John Stephen Meckley of Dayton, two sisters, Mrs. R. H. Liber and Mrs. G. W. Shuff, both of Columbus, three grandchildren and a brother, john E. Meckley, of Toledo. One sister, Mrs. Marie Heidelbaugh, recently preceded him in death.
Mr. Meckley came to the Galion community three months ago from Lexington. He retired from the construction company in 1952.
Funeral services will be held at 2 pm Thursday in the Snyder Funeral Home, Galion. The Rev. Herbert D. Burkhart, pastor of the Blooming Grove Methodist Church, of which he was a member, will officiate. Burial will be in Lexington Cemetery.
