[Obituary] The Ottawa Citizen - Tuesday, 13 October 13, 2015, pg 40
Peacefully, with great dignity, surrounded by family after a courageous battle with an illness. Gordon lived a very full life, traveling extensively, and sharing the company of many close friends both in Canada and in Mexico. He ran a local successful business for many years and gave his time generously to numerous service clubs. He was a very passionate sports fan who loved the game of golf and the 19th hole. Gordon chose his own path in life, and left the earth loved by his family with no regrets. Gordon was predeceased by his parents, Walter Wells and Margaret Colquhoun, his first wife Diane Marie Koss (1941-1991), his second wife Maureen and his brother Donald. Loving father of Jim Wells (Tammy), Scott Wells (Joanne), Kellee Heron (Mark), Ron Wells (Sandra) and step-daughter Jennifer Healey (Kevin). Cherished “Papa” of Chelsea, Amanda, Blake, Payton, Charlotte, Madison, Cassidy, Rikki-Leigh and Josh. Great-grandfather of Jackson. Friends are invited to visit the Brown Chapel of Hulse, Playfair & McGarry, 805 Prescott Street, Kemptville on Wednesday, October 14, 2015 from 2 to 4 pm and 6 to 8 pm. A Memorial Service will be held Thursday at St John’s United Church, 400 Prescott Street, Kemptville at 11 am. In lieu of flowers, donations to C.H.E.O. or Ottawa General Hospital Foundation (Critical Care Wing).
