MISS RONNIE ANN COOPER
Mr. and Mrs. Milford I. Cooper of 307 South River Street, Wilkes-Barre, announce the engagement of their daughter Ronnie Ann, to Charles N. Sachs, son of Mrs. Milton Sachs of Baltimore Md., and the late Milton Sachs. The bride-to-be is the granddaughter of Mr. and Mrs. Louis Carter of Green Acres, Kingston. Miss Cooper graduated from Kingston High School and received a B.A. from Syracuse University, where she will enter the master's, program in September. She was selected by the Syracuse University foreign studies department to study in Florence, Italy in her junior year. Mr. Sachs was graduated from the Park School in Baltimore and the University of Virginia, where he was a Dean's List student. He is studying for a master's degree in sociology at Syracuse University, and has done psychological and educational work in his field.

HAIMS--Ronnie Cooper. Loving wife of Dr. Bruce Haims; daughter of Evelyn Cooper Reles; sister of Dr. Laurel Ginsburg; and friend to William Schiller. Ronnie was born in Wilkes Barre, PA, but lived in Kingston, PA, and mostly in New York, which she loved for 35 years where she worked as a real estate broker. Ronnie received a BS from Syracuse University, and an MLS from the University of Maryland. She was an avid Bridge and Mah Jong player, and won a North American Championship in Bridge. She loved the arts, mainly opera, and was very compassionate to animals, especially cats. Contributions can be made to the ASPCA or the North Shore Animal League. The funeral will be on Tuesday, August 31 at 11:15am at the Riverside Memorial Chapel at 76th Street and Amsterdam Avenue, and the family will be home after the funeral.

Ronnie Cooper Haims August 29, 2010
Ronnie Cooper Haims, 63, of New York City, N.Y., and Kingston, PA, passed away at home on Sunday, August 29, 2010. Ronnie was a 1964 graduate of Kingston High School, a 1968 graduate of Syracuse University, with a BS in psychology, and a graduate of the University of Maryland, with a MLS degree. She was employed as a real estate broker. Ronnie was an avid bridge and mahjong player, and won a North American Championship in bridge. She loved the arts, mainly opera, and was very compassionate to animals, especially cats. She was a kind and compassionate person who will be sorely missed by all who knew her. She was a truly unique and wonderful individual and there will never be another "Ronnie." She is survived by loving husband. Dr. Bruce Wallace Haims; her mother, Evelyn Cooper Reles; a sister, Dr. Laurel Ginsburgh; and best friend, William N. Schiller. Condolences may be sent to the family at 581 Meadowland Avenue.
