WELLS
YADKINVILLE - Alfonzo (onny) Wells 79 of Rt 4 died early Friday morning at the Hoots Memorial Hospital. He was born in Yadkin County on May 10 1906 to Dave Rush and Millie Plowman Wells. He was a member of the Creek Baptist Church and was married to Mrs Josephine Baity Wells who survives of the Yadkin Village. Other survivors include two sons Larry Gray Wells of Rt 1 Hamptonville and Herbert Wells of Rt 4 Yadkinville, one sister Mrs Annie Peoples of Mocksville, and four grandchildren. Funeral will be conducted at 2 pm Sunday at the Mackie Gentry Chapel by the Rev Alen Barker. Burial will follow in Creek Baptist Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 7 to 9 pm tonight at the funeral home.
