ROCHELLE
Gilbert Lane, for 40 years a highly respected citizen of Rochelle, died at the home of his daughter, Mrs. Joseph L. Spath, 803 Sixth street about four o'clock, Monday morning, March 19, after a short illness. The deceased was 86 увагs old. Gilbert Lane was born February 26, 1831 at West Farms, New Jersey.
In 1850 he was living with the Emmons family, listed as a shoemaker (19, NJ).
He and wife Phoebe have his parents living with them in 1860, along with William (3) and Sarah (1).
