William B. Hitzel
Minden - Visitation for William B. Hitzel, 75, who died Thursday at his residence is scheduled from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. Monday at Walton’s Chapel of the Valley, Cemetery and Mausoleum, Carson City.
A native of Spearfish, S.D., he was born March 8, 1914, and had been a Minden resident for the past 10 years, coming from Santa Ana, Calif., where he had lived for 16 years, and Fort Worth, Texas.
Hitzel was a retired welder, an Army veteran and a member of St. Gall's Catholic Church, Gardnerville.
Surviving are his widow, Esther of Minden; son, Michael Joseph of San Jose; and two grandchildren.
A Christian Wake is scheduled for 7 p.m. Monday at the church.
A Mass of Christian Burial is scheduled for 9:30 a.m. Tuesday at the church, with burial at Eastside Memorial Park.
A memorial is being established with the American Cancer Society, P.O. Box 3649, Carson City 89702.
