Birth record lists his date of birth and parents as John & Hannah Perkins. Also lists his sister Mercy, b. 10 Dec 1759.
He served in the Rev. War in the Albany Co, NY Militia 13th Regiment under Col. John McCray.
He married Rebecca Palmer in 1776 in Stonington, CT, and in 1777 he moved to Saratoga County, NY during the Revolutionary War (app 1778). Settled at Stillwater on the west bank of the Hudson River. Their cabin was used as a hospital for the wounded. He enlisted as a Pvt in the 13th Regiment of the Albany County Militia commanded by Col John McCrea and and Col Cornelius Van Veghten and served in the Revolutionary War. Listed in 1790 census of Saratoga Co, NY. Settled at Saratoga, NY about 1 mile from Rock Spring. He stayed on this farm, prospered and bought the farm on which were born all of his children save the first, John. After the death of Rebecca in 1795, he was remarried to Hannah Bishop about 1796, and began a second family. In 1813 he died from an epidemic leaving his wife, Hannah with seven dependent children.

"Steve Perkins has suggested that they may have been married in Albany NY. He knew that they were up in New York and are buried there. Although, Christopher's remains must have been sent back from Michigan as he had taken a 2nd wife after Rebecca."
He died of a terrible epidemic, leaving his (2nd) wife with 7 young children (none of the children from his first marriage still being at home) and the property badly encumbered.
Buried in cemetery of the old Baptist Church at Cramer's Corners south of Victory Mills, on Moe Farm. Burial record lists date of death and age 53.
