A family story mentions the name of Christopher, but omits the name of Elihu. Perhaps his full name was Christopher Elihu. He is listed in Grand River, Michigan in the 1880 census as a Physician (25) with his wife Adell (27, b. OH) and son Claude A. (2, b. MI).
By 1900 they were living in Chicago, where both he and son Claud are listed as doctors, with wife Anna and son Allen P. Living with them are two boarders, one of whom is Jessie Wilson, who married Claude shortly thereafter.
Listed as a doctor, with just his wife in the 1910 Chicago census.
But by 1920, he was remarried to Minnie M. _____, a school principal (61, NY), still in Chicago and her daughter living with them.
By 1930, he and Minnie had moved to Van Buren Co, MI and retired, with granddaughter Miriam J. Murphey (7, IL) living with them.
