In 1930 he is listed as a farmer (52, OH) first married at age 27, with his wife Jennie R. (45, OH) and an adopted son Gerald J. (1yr 7mos, OH).
Was living in Mansfield when he registered for the WWII Draft.

MILTON J. GALION - GRICE
Milton J. Grice, 73, retired farmer, died at 2 a. m. today in his home after several years' illness. A native of Washington township near Bellville, following an extended illness. Surviving are his widow, Jen, two sons, Cleo of Galion and James at home; seven grandchildren and two great grandchildren. Rites will be held at 2 p. m. Monday in the Snyder funeral home with his pastor, Rev. George Awbrey, officiating. Burial will be in Fairview cemetery. Friends call at the funeral home.

Mrs. Milton J. Grice GALION --
Mrs. Jennie Grice, 72 died suddenly at 8 a.m. Friday at the home of her niece, Mrs. Ralph Gross, in Massillon. She had been visiting there since last Monday. Mrs. Grice was born in Plymouth, Feb. 1, 1881(sic), the daughter of George B. and Anna Holstedt Moore. She was married Sept. 10, 1906, to Milton J. Grice who died Feb. 3, 1951. Surviving are two sons, Cleo Grice of Tulsa, Oklahoma, James Grice of Mansfield; seven grandchildren and two great grandchildren; one brother, John H. Moore of Massillon; two sisters, Mrs. Pearl Windbigler of Uniontown, OH, and Mrs. Bernice Pierce of Washington, D. C. One son preceded her in death. Funeral services will be held Monday at 1 p.m., in the Snyder Funeral home. Elder C. B. Herndon, pastor of the Apostolic Gospel Church of Gallon of which Mrs. Grice was a member, will conduct services. Burial will be in Fairview cemetery.
