Resident of Mt. Vernon, OH. Son of the late Lester Ruhl and Betty (Stitt) Putman. He was a veteran of the U.S. Army. He worked for Ringwalt’s Dept. Store before working at the Knox County Career Center where he spent eighteen years, retiring in 2003. He enjoyed working with his hands, creating many wood projects and birdhouses. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife of 37 years, Cho Song Ruhl (1940–2002); and a daughter, Debbie Shah. He is survived by two sons, Marvin O. Ruhl of Cincinnati and Edwin P. (Natalie) Ruhl of Heath; a daughter, Patty (Neal) Woollen of Hedgesville, West Virginia; a sister, Joan Magdich of Fairfield, OH; and nine grandchildren.
