Listed as head of household in 1850 census with children William, Samuel, Rebecca, John and Margaret.
"Portrait & Biographical Record of Guernsey Co, Ohio" describes her migration to OH after James death: . . . "after the death of her husband, she moved the family to Noble Co, Ohio in 1854 and died there in 1864 (error). After marrying John Watson, she lived on the Watson farm in Glady Valley."
According to (Richard Scarborough) her Death Notice in Mt. Vernon Republican newspaper approx 9 Sept 1865, “she died in Knox Co while visiting her brother James in Mt. Liberty. Upon learning of her brother, Samuel's, death in Iowa a few days before, she was overtaken with grief and died herself, and was returned to Noble Co for burial.” There is no will or other death records in Noble Co. to substantiate either case.
Marjorie Morgan (of Scarbrough/Haworth books) shows her death as being in Gladys Valley, OH. Family records indicated burial in Presbyterian Cemetery, Batesville; however she was found on the list for Olde Batesville Lutheran as Margaret Wells, along with her grandson Samuel Wells.

Misc. Notes
Joe Davey and Richard Scarborough list his birth as 1787 as does the Kigans book and his tombstone, in contradiction to Don Kinzy and the Miller book. I found his tombstone in the Little Redstone Churchyard in 1992, but the date has weathered and the "4"s appear as "1"s (looked like 21 Jun 1818 - 61 years). The Kigans book states that he was described as a large and very handsome man. He had 12 children, 9 of whom grew up.
1820 census: male 2<10, 1=26-45 fem 1<10, 1=16-26
1830 census: male 1<5, 2=5-10, 1=40-50, 1-50-60 fem 1<5, 1=5-10, 1=10-15, 1=30-40
In 1822, when Joseph was born, they lived in Jefferson Twp. He also sold the 50 acres which he inherited from his father, to his brother, Joseph Wells for $1,000 on March 14, 1835.
In 1837, when Margaret was born, they lived near Brownsville.
1840 census lists him next to his mother and brother Joseph: male 1<5, 1=5-10, 1=10-15, 1=15-20, 1=50-60 fem 1<5, 1=5-10, 1=10-15, 1=15-20, 1=30-40
1843-45 Tax Rolls for Jefferson Twp, Fayette Co PA listed him with 123 Ac of land valued at ~$1200. He subsequently sold the land to Christian Swartz in 1847 for $2,600 before his death.
He died of dropsy, asthma, and heart trouble. In his will he left the farm to his wife while she lived and subsequently to his 4 sons equally, with Joseph, William and Samuel to pay the debts between them and John exempted. Gave his daughter Charity Warner $10, and his daughter Charlotte Clark a feather bed. The daughters Mary Ann, Rebecca, and Margaret Ann received a cow and a feather bed each. The remainder to be equally divided among the children. The will was written 10 Mar 1848 and recorded 19th July 1848. (however, Portrait & Bio Record of Guernsey Co erroneously says that he died in 1851)
Mary was listed as head of household in 1850.

John's birth was reported as 1791. According to death record Book 1&2 Pg 80 Noble Co, OH he died 26 Nov 1872, caused by disease of stomach. His tombstone reports he was 82 yrs. 11 mo. 23 da which means he must have been born 3 Dec 1789.
His first marriage was to Ella Yoho (17 Jan 1793 - 30 Mar 1850) in Monroe Co, OH, and they had 8 children. He is listed with her in the 1850 census, even though it was taken after her death date(?).
The 1860 census was taken just a few days before he married Mary Wells. In 1870 he is listed as “infirm” with his son and daughter, shortly before his death (indexed as Jahue).
