Found in Coolspring Twp in 1850 where Isaac is listed as age 68, born in PA and having $300 of land. Moved to Findley Twp by 1860 where Isaac is listed as age 78?, born in PA $300 of land, $100 of property, and his occupation being a Wagon Walker. On 1 April, 1859, when Robert Stewart agreed to sell a 1 1/2 Ac lot to Levi Jones, which agreement Levi subsequently transferred to Isaac Downs. Isaac then assigned it to his son, John. John paid $300 for the lot and obtained a deed from the estate of Robert Stewart on 7 Jan, 1864. When he and his wife, Anna, later sold the lot back to Levi Jones for $600 on 16 May 1865 Mary signed a (quit claim) deed to Levi Jones for $1 on 18 May, 1865 and referred to herself as the widow of Isaac Downs, late of Findley Twp. Since Isaac was listed in the 1860 census, this places his death within that period. Levi Jones sold the land to John Kunkle and his deed also repeats this story.

It was here that she listed herself as the widow of Isaac Downs. The deed was apparently to clear the title of the lot, which had been passed from Isaac to their son, John and sold by John to Levi Jones on 16 May, 1865.
