Was divorced when the girls were young. Bill was on disability and going to college. He was somewhat disabled from falling on ice in 1988, fracturing his hip and socket. Had 3 surgeries in the process of replacing the hip with an artificial one. (Mar '90)
Completed a couple years of college in art design.
Had a heart attack or something of the sort in Jan 2004. Then in 2006 he went in for a hip replacement and experienced a heart attack/failure during surgery.

William Robert "Bill" Wells of Sterling died April 17, 2006, at Poudre Valley Hospital in Ft. Collins. Services will be May 8 at 10:30 at the Zion Congregational Church.
He was born Feb. 29, 1932, in Yuma County. He was active in his church, Zion Congregational, the Moose Lodge, and worked with the artist guild. He worked as a floral designer in different shops in town. Bill also worked at Wal-Mart. He loved being creative with different mediums in connection with his art.
Wells is survived by his two daughters, Linda Sue and Cindy Lue. Also three granddaughters, Amanda, Annette, and Rachel and husband Travis, one great-granddaughter, Rosie Marie, one sister Edna Johnson and family.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Oliver and Mollie Wells, and grandson William Perry.
