In "The Genius of Liberty" Uniontown newspaper dated 18 August 1892, pg 1 col 8 -- John Reed & James Wells, Jr. traded farms. Since this is only two months after his father’s death, it is likely that the farm he traded was received from his father’s will.
The 1910 census lists him as a mine worker (44, PA) with his wife and 3 children after 20 years of marriage. It says their 2 children are living, and indicates that daughter Ethel is adopted. He was out of work 4 months that year.

She survived her husband as a widow (50, PA), with her daughter Ethel (14, PA) in the 1920 census. Then married Andrew Lynn and listed with him in 1930 census.

Mrs. Joy T. Lynn, 65 years old, wife of Andrew Lynn, died at 3 o'clock this morning at her home in Perry township, near Jackson schoolhouse.
She leaves her husband, one son, Clyde Wells; two brothers and three sisters, U.G. Blair of Stuart, Fla., A.D. Blair of Scottdale, Mrs. Jonathan Shaffer of Perry township. Mrs. J. F. Clark of Tennessee and Mrs. L.T. Russell of Star Junction.
The funeral service will be held Thursday afternoon at 2 o'clock at the late home with Rev. Floyd Vaughn, pastor of the Flatwoods Baptist Church, officiating. Interment will be made in Flatwoods Cemetery.
