Mrs. Josephine Stuckslager, widow of Christian H. Stuckslager, died Friday, May 14, 1937, in the home of a daughter, Mrs. Edna Staub, Jefferson township. She was 74 years, eight months, and two days old.
Surviving are the following children: Mary, James, Grover Stuckslager and Mrs. Staub; and six grandchildren: Willard, Dorothy, Geraldine, Harry, and Betty Stuckslager and Paul Albert Staub.
Funeral services will be conducted at the Staub residence at 2 o'clock Monday afternoon. Burial will be in Redstone cemetery, near Brownsville.

He owned a farm of 111 acres which had been in the family for over 70 years, and sold the mineral rights for coal about 1900 for $100/acre. He was a Jeffersonian Democrat who served on the election board and as road supervisor and tax collector, and was a trustee for the M. E. church.
Listed in 1930 census as a farmer (71, PA) first married at age 24; with his wife Josephine (67, PA) first married at 22. Daughters Mary and Edna were still living at home.

Christian Stuckslager, 76 years old, died Friday evening at his home in Jefferson Township following a week’s illness of complications. Besides his wife, Josephine Stuckslager, he is survived by 4 children; Mary, James, Grover and Edna, and 6 grandchildren.
