[Obituary] Morning Herald (Uniontown, PA) - 20 Jan 1942
Ernest S. Murphy, 72, died at the home of a daughter, Mrs. James Zundel of Fayette City, Monday night, January 19, 1942 at 7:15 o'clock of complications.
Surviving are two daughters, Mrs. Clyde Woodfield (sic Whitfield) of Monongahela and Mrs. Zundel; a son, Negley Murphy of Ashland, O.; a brother, Foster Murphy of Eden, Md., and four sisters, Mrs. Eunice Lyons, Mrs. John Hare and Mrs. Greer Hare of Fayette City and Mrs. Rachel Johnson of Maryland.
The body will be removed this afternoon from the Ira Blair and Sons Funderal Home, Perryopolis to the Zundel residence where funeral services will be held Thursday afternoon at 2 o'clock. Additional rites will follow at 2:30 o'clock in the Fairview Methodist Church. Burial will follow in the Church Cemetery.
