Misc. Notes
Listed as Will in 1910 census, with his parents.
In June 1917, when he registered for the WWI Draft, he was living in Perryopolis and said he couldn’t serve because he had a family, consisting of wife and child, and was working on his father’s farm at the time. Not listed in any census with his family!
Living with his parents at age 30 in 1920 census, but listed as married with the name Willie C. Wells. Perhaps the death of their daughter broke up the marriage?
Listed alone as a farmer (40, PA) with a boarder in 1930. It says he was married at age 25.
In 1940 he is listed as Willie C., a farmer (50, PA) with 3 staff living with him; Anna Rodabach (36) housekeeper, Austin Greenley (73) lodger, and George Lape (32) laborer.
