Ada was listed as a school teacher in 1920, and taught school until she retired. She was the proud owner of the first indoor toilet in Star Junction, PA.
Ada had two children - Elmer Allen Guseman and James Robert Guseman, both still living (2003). In 1940 they were living at home as Allen (15) and James (7).
She and her husband signed the deed to sell the family homestead in 1947 while living in Perry Twp, Fayette Co, PA.

GUSEMAN, ADA B. - Age 83 years of Star Junction, PA died, Saturday, May 30, 1981 in the St. Clair Memorial Hospital, Mt. Lebanon, PA at 3:30 p.m. She was born, November 2, 1897 in Grindstone, the daughter of the late, Alva and Mary Jane Coulter Wells. She was a member of the Star Junction United, Methodist Church and was a retired school teacher from the Frazier School District. Surviving are two sons, James R. Guseman of Irwin, PA and E. Alan Guseman of Fairfax, Va.; four grandchildren and four great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husband, Robert E. Guseman on May 5, 1956. Friends will be received in the Blair-Lowther Funeral Home Inc., Perryopolis, today from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. and where a prayer service will be held Tuesday at 10:30 a.m. followed by additional services in the Star Junction United Methodist Church at 11 a.m.
Rev. William Morris and Rev. Wayne W. Greenawalt will officiate. lnternment in La Fayette Memorial Park, Brier Hill.

Son of Elmer E. (Feb 1863, PA) and Alice (Jul 1865, PA) Guseman.
He was working on his father's farm when registering for WWI Draft in 1918.
He is listed as Robert E. Guesman on Grindstone Rd in the 1930 census with his wife and oldest son, working as a coal miner. In 1940 he was listed as a sweeper in the coal mines. Robert was crushed by falling slate in Colonial Mine #3 in Fayette Co on 22 Feb 1947 and lived for ten years as a paraplegic, dying in the mid fifties.
