Lived in the old Samuels family home on Clinton Park in San Francisco. The family home is in trust goes to his daughter when he dies. Served in the military during WWII. He is 74 and retired. He has a camper van and has been wandering around northern Calif for 9 yrs. He stays in the gold country, mostly toward Quincy and the North Fork of the Feather River where he pans for gold. He comes into town once every week or two. He keeps in touch with his daughter, who gets his mail. He sounded like a real character, and had a good memory which helped with a bunch of information on the family. (1999)
