Hendrick Smock was born in 1698, and died on the 30th of May, 1747. Ancestral File says he was born in Holmdel, NJ. "Had six sons and two daughters". Other references say he was born in New Utrecht and moved with his family to Middletown, NJ in 1712. He married, in 1721, Mary Schenck, and had eight children. As far as is known, they remained in Monmouth County. His son Hendrick married Eleanor Vanderveer, and a Cornelius Vanderveer was executor of the father Hendrick’s estate.
