Listed with his grandparents, mother and brother in 1850 and 1860 census. Listed with his grandmother, mother and brother in 1870. Listed as single with his mother, Margaret in 1880.
He is listed as a boarder with Christopher Wood in 1900, and as Enos Mouts with George Chilcote in 1910.
Obit:
“Enos Moats died at the county infirmary on Tuesday evening at 6 o’clock of Bright’s disease, after six months of suffering. He was aged about 75 [my data shows 66] and had been a resident formerly of Mary Ann township. The remains were taken to the McGonagle undertaking parlors this afternoon, and the funeral arrangements have not yet been made.”
Death certificate lists his name as John Moats, and has no data on his birthdate, parents, etc. States he died of Uremic poison and acute nephritis, and that he was buried at Wilkins Cem or Wilkins Corner.
