According to his daughter’s obituary, the came to America in 1818.
Before Mary Jane's marriage in Harrison Co OH he is listed in the 1828 Tax records and 1830 census.
1830 census record for Robert McClenahan in Athens Twp, Harrison Co, OH:
male 1=60-70 fem 1=15-20, 1=20-30, 1=60-70
which fits with her as a daughter (or granddaughter), and her oldest son is named Robert.
He then appears to be listed in the Wheeling Twp, Belmont Co Tax records for 1833 with 2 horses and a cow and a tax of 33 cents.
His headstone in Union Cem lists his date of death in 1837 and the inscription “in his 77th year”.
