In 1850 he is listed as a farmer (69, IRE) with his wife Mary (70, IRE), with the family of his son James (32, OH) living next to them. They are all still listed there in 1860, although John is 78, Mary is 82 and James is 41.
His will was dated 18 Aug 1851, and recorded 28 Feb 1862 in Vol 1 pg 370.

John McClenahan - born County Down, Ireland, probably at or near Rathfriland or Banbridge, Oct. 29, 1780; married on March 23, 1800, to Mary Urie. Sailed for the United States on May 10, 1812. Lived successively at Robinson's Run, PA, New Athens, Ohio, near Shepherdstown, Ohio, and near Fairview, Ohio. Lifelong weaver; short term grocer and postmaster; many years farmer; elder; died December 31, 1861.
