In both the 1870 and 1880 census records with her huband, her birthplace is listed as Illinois. On marr certificate of her daughter, her name is listed as Manahrn, on her death certificate Monohan, and on her son’s death certificate it is Monahan.
Her husband is listed as widowed in 1900.

1860 census lists him as age 25, born in Ireland, unmarried and living next to his brother's family. In 1870 he is listed as age 35, born in Ireland with his wife and 3 children. He is a wagonmaker, and they have another wagonmaker living with them. He cannot read or write, but has US citizenship! In 1880 he is listed as 46, a blacksmith born in Ireland.
He appears to have been widowed and moved to Pulaski Co by 1900, where he is indexed as James Powen (Dec 1828, IRE) with his 4 children John (34), Mamie (26), Katie (24) and William (19).
