1910 census says he immigrated in 1880 and was naturalized, and was working as roll hand in a wire mill.
In 1920 it says he immigrated in 1885, and was naturalized in 1894, working as a roller in a rod mill.
By 1930 he was a finisher.
Designed bridges for steel mills in Pittsburgh.

She was married 7 yrs with a year old son in 1910.
By 1920, they had two more children, and had 5 lodgers living with them.
In 1940 they were no longer working, and were now logders with the family of Norman Richards.
In addition to the children listed, Charles Boice thinks they had an earlier daughter who died at age 2 - 3 in a flu outbreak, as well as a pair of twin girls in 1920 who died shortly after birth.
