Eldon Wells
Eldon Wells, 61, of 629 East Jefferson Street, died at his home Wednesday night following a long illness.
Services are scheduled for 1:30 p.m. Saturday at the George L. Gay Funeral Home, where friends may call beginning Friday morning. Burial will be at St Joseph’s Cemetery. Memorial donations may be directed to the American Cancer Fund.
Born May 18, 1912 in Johnson County, he was the son of Ernest and Mary Dell Hanna Wells, he was employed as a bus driver by the Iowa City Coach Company, He was a member of St. Wenceslaus Church, the Moose Lodge, Legion of the Moose, and the Eagles.
A brother, Emery of Iowa City survives.
