Lloyd Wells Of Manhattan Dies At 69
Funeral services for Thomas Lloyd Wells, 69, of Manhattan will be conducted Tueseday at 2 p.m. at the Dokken-Nelson Sunsel Chapel. Burial will be in Sunset Hills cemetery.
Wells, a shovel operator at Ideal Cement Plant, died Sunday at the Bozeman Deaconess hospital.
He was born Sept. 24. 1892, in Goodland, Kan., son of Mr. and Mrs. Newton Wells. He married LaVerne C. Augustine at Colorado Springs Colo., on Aug. 2, 1917.
Wells was a member of Fremont Lodge No. 97, AF and AM, at Florence, Colo.; Florence Chapter No.35 Royal Arch Masons: Canon City, Colo., Council No. 5, R and AM: Canon City Commandry No. 9 and AL Kaly Shrine Temple, Pueblo, Colo.
Survivors, in addition to his widow, include a brother, S. S. Wells and a sister, Mrs. Rose Griffin, both of Pueblo, Colo. one nephew and several nieces.

MRS. LaVERNE. C. WELLS
Funeral services for Mrs. La Verne C. Wells, 77, Man-hattan, who died Saturday at Bozeman Deaconess Hospital, were held Tuesday at Dokken-Nelson Sunset Chapel.
She was born Aug. 28, 1895 at Perry, Okla. She was the widow of Thomas L. Wells, who died in 1962. They were married in 1917.
She came to Canon City, Colo., in 1903 and attended schools there. She graduated from Colorado State Teacher's College and taught school in Colorado for 23 years. She moved to Manhattan in 1957. She was a member of the Methodist Episcopal Church and Florence Chapter of Eastern Star No. 25 of Florence, Colo.
The Rev. Robert Phelps officiated. The organist was Mrs. O. H. Campbell and soloist was Charles Rice. Burial was in Sunset Hills Cemetery. Pallbearers were Charles Finch, John Humphrey, S. Walbert, Elmer Storey, John Gillespie and Tom Mongold.
No survivors were listed.
