Aldo Vincent Marchi November 13, 1925 to October 18, 2008. Born in San Francisco to Pietro and Florence Marchi, both natives of Italy. Attended Half Moon Bay grammar schools, Lincoln High School in San Francisco and Half Moon Bay High School. Joined the U. S. Army at a young age, serving for three years and achieving the rank of Staff Sergeant. A retired mason, having owned and operated his masonry contacting business, Aldo V. Marchi Masonry Contracting, was inspired to his life-long occupation while working for the San Francisco based Kimmel Masonry family owned business. A true artisan, his work can be viewed throughout the Bay Area. He was a proud member of the highly respected former Spanishtown Dons drill team, a volunteer for the Half Moon Bay fire department, and a contributor/builder of many of the existing buildings and their contents located on the I.D.E.S. property on Main Street in Half Moon Bay. Aldo loved his family, sports, bowling and surf fishing. Aldo leaves behind his cherished wife Rita; his daughter Donna Marchi-Baxter; step-sons Donald and Richard Bottarini; his grandchildren Michael, Leanna, Lindsay, Gina Bottarini, and Janelle Bottel, and his great grandchildren Ariana and Ashley Bottel. He is also survived by in-laws Jeff Baxter, Marisa Bottarini, Donna Bottarini and Mitch Bottel. He was preceded in death by his daughter Judith Marchi.
