DONALD E. STERNAMAN, 71, Deputy, Ind., formerly of Indianapolis, died Thursday. Services will be at 1 p.m. Tuesday in Vail-Holt Funeral Home, Madison, with calling from 4 p.m. to 8 p.m. Monday. He was a retired carpenter and commercial maintenance engineer. An Army veteran of World War II, he was the recipient of three Purple Hearts. Mr. Sternaman was past commander of Madison Disabled American Veterans, past 10th District commander of the Disabled American Veterans, past commander of Madison American Legion Post and was named Indiana Disabled American Veteran of the Year in 1989. Memorial contributions may be made to the Disabled American Veterans and Veterans AO fairs Medical Center, Louisville, Ky. Survivors: wife, Carolyn Sue Rissinger Sternaman; five stepchildren; two brothers.
